Founded in 1365, the main building of the University of Vienna is the historic university building in the center of the city. This is also the center of the university administration and all school-related transactions are done here. The main building, located in the center of the city, can be reached by metro, tram and buses that pass right in front of it.
Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria, as well as the smallest of the country’s 9 states in terms of area. With a population of around 1,705,000, it is the most populous city in the country, with its surrounding districts around two million people living in Vienna, which is about a quarter of the Austrian population. In terms of population, Vienna is the tenth largest city in the European Union.
