The Technical University of Berlin, or TUB or TU Berlin for short, is a technical and research university located in Berlin, Germany.
TU Berlin was founded in 1879 and has around 30,000 students, making it one of Germany’s largest technical universities. When we look at Germany in general, the highest number of foreign students study at the Berlin Technical University. In 2007, 20.9% of the students were foreign nationals, which means 5598 students in number. Among people who have graduated from college or have worked as professors are people elected to the US National Academy. In addition, among people who have graduated from the university or worked as a professor, ten have been awarded the Nobel Prize and two have been awarded the National Medal of Science.
